Community Wellness Focusing

This is an in-person year-long Community Wellness Focusing (CWF) course leading to certification as a Focusing Professional through The International Focusing Institute (TIFI).

Monthly classes will be held in Corvallis, OR, USA on the first Saturday of each month (January 2024 to December 2024)

This certification course is for you if you want to use Focusing in work within your community. We will explore ways you can teach and use Focusing organically. We know that we have one kind of expertise. For community work we recognize that you will bring your own expertise to share with the rest of us. We welcome anyone who wants to work in community and encourage you to take what you learn back into your daily life and work. Although this is a therapeutic process, we are not preparing you to deliver counseling services.

Registration fees for course:

The base fee for this year-long course is $1200. 

Certification:

If you wish to certification through The International Focusing Institute (TIFI) you will be required to do the following: 

• Notify Nina Joy and Pat of your intention at the beginning of the course
• Join TIFI as a trainer in training.
• Develop your own Personal Plan of Learning in consultation with mentors
• Have three self-assessment Focusing sessions
  • At the beginning of course 
  • Midway through the year (meet with one or both of us)
  • At the end of the course (before certification)
